Infrastructure & construction market informationThe Bremanger quarry is located close to the Norwegian coastal town of Florø, north of Bergen. The Bremanger quarry is also known as the “Green Quarry” with the extraction process fully dedicated to energy efficiency. Major innovative techniques allow us to make optimum use of gravity, which means the stone can be broken in energy-neutral and with minimal impact on the landscape. These techniques make it possible to: generate green electricity, break stone underground carbon neutral, achieve significant fuel savings by only driving state-of-the-art dump trucks over short, horizontal distances.
Thanks to the sheltered bay and a unique floating loading system, we can safely and efficiently load the largest ocean-going ships at up to 5,000 tons per hour. The use of large bulk carriers also ensures a low carbon footprint per ton. In our Norwegian Bremanger Quarry, we extract stone called Bestone®.
Bestone® conforms to the highest quality standards as a result of a unique combination of the following three properties:

• hardness: the low crushing value prolongs the life for any application

More about Bremanger QuarryThe terminal and production facilities in Amsterdam and Antwerp manage high quality supply of aggregates for road & rail way infrastructure, concrete and ceramic industries. The aggregates are imported by sea, and exported by inland water way & road serving the Dutch, Belgium, German and UK market. The large storage and production capacity make it possible for the various products to be delivered Just-in-Time. In the high season, production and shipping is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
